O’Fallon, IL has long been a hub of industry, but lately it’s become a hotbed of entrepreneurial activity. From tech start-ups to niche retailers, the city’s business community is finally starting to take shape.

One of the most notable examples of this trend is the O’Fallon-based software company, Jawdrop. Founded in 2015 by local entrepreneur Ryan Cooper, Jawdrop has quickly become a leader in the field of marketing automation. The company’s cloud-based platform allows businesses to automate their marketing campaigns, from email blasts to social media posts, making it easier to target and engage with their customers.

Another emerging business in O’Fallon is Spoked Bikes & Stuff. Founded in 2018, this bike shop specializes in high-performance cycling gear and accessories. Owner John Smith says he chose to open his business in O’Fallon because of the city’s growing population of cycling enthusiasts. “There’s a real appetite for cycling in this community, and I wanted to be a part of that,” he says.

Other notable businesses include the boutique shop, Olive & Ivory, which specializes in gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars, and the yoga studio, Sweet Serenity Yoga, which offers a wide range of classes and workshops.

So what’s driving this uptick in entrepreneurial activity? According to local business leaders, it’s a combination of factors, including a strong sense of community and a supportive business climate.

“We have a really tight-knit community here,” says Cooper. “People are always looking out for each other and willing to lend a hand when needed.”

In addition, O’Fallon is home to the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce, which provides a range of resources and support for local businesses. From networking events to educational seminars, the chamber is working to create a thriving business ecosystem in the city.

Looking to the future, many local business owners say they see great potential for growth in O’Fallon. With its strategic location near St. Louis and its strong infrastructure, the city is well-positioned to attract even more entrepreneurs and investors in the years to come.

“I think O’Fallon has a lot of untapped potential,” says Smith. “There’s so much opportunity here, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for our business community.”
