The Central Pharmacy is your go-to for processing new prescriptions, whether they come from healthcare providers on or off the base. However, it’s essential to activate these prescriptions before they can be filled.
How to Get Your Prescription Ready
You have three convenient options to activate a prescription:
- In-Person: Visit the Central Pharmacy.
- By Phone: Call in for next-day pickup.
- Through TRICARE Online Messaging: Also available for next-day pickup.
Note: To use the messaging service, you’ll need to add “Scott AFB Pharmacy” as a provider in your TRICARE account.

We may not carry all medications. Always check with us first to see if your medication is in our formulary.

For prescription refills, head to the Satellite Pharmacy. You can request a refill by calling our automated line at 618-256-7400 or toll-free at 866-683-2778.
TRICARE Drug Search Tool
Utilize the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool to find information about your medication, such as:
- Formulary status (generic, brand-name, non-formulary, or non-covered)
- Where you can fill the prescription
- Copayments and any limitations like prior authorization
- Requirements for coverage review and related forms
- Alternative medication options and their costs
